Come join the party!

Come join the party!

If it makes you feel good, then I say do it. I don't know what your waiting for.

Besides the fact that I wanted to change a few fast-food habits, I had a few health issues that changed the direction of my life forever. Realizing that I knew nothing about the food I put in my body for the first 28 years of my life, At 34 I can proudly say I am deliciously conscious. I know more and I am still learning.

Consciousness for me was opening up my eyes to life. I realized that I have control of everything. The food was just part of it. Getting a grip on what I ate and how the food was created was the beginning of a huge snow ball in my life. I also think about the environment; my environment, the people that I have in my life, the way I entertain myself and how I reacted to everything. This journey is huge and I'm enjoying every second of it.

After two years, three names, and many directions, I finally found my place. Delicious Consciousness...my personal attempt to change the world. It's about making the educated decision to choose organic and natural foods that are free of artificial ingredients, haven't been tampered with genetically, and involve good stewardship for our earth's lands and oceans, no exceptions.

Specifically special diets; organic, vegetarian, vegan, sugar free, dairy free, gluten free, raw and all other special diets. I'm not a physician or an expert, I am a label reader. I research and learn about products daily. I am lucky enough to work for Whole Foods Market and have an opportunity on a daily basis to talk with hundreds of customers and random people in the public about food. I get hands on opinions and comments. It's great! I love local products, I have passion for amazing foods, and I try everything I write about.

I can help you learn where to get great food. I spend hours working with some of the most amazing foods in the world, and can't wait to share what I find. I will research and bring you info and keep up with food trends.
Join me,
And thanks for following.

Vegetarian Rennet

Rennet ( /ˈrɛnɨt/) is a complex of enzymes produced in any mammalian stomach to digest the mother's milk, and is often used in the production of cheese. Rennet contains many enzymes, including a proteolytic enzyme (protease) that coagulates the milk, causing it to separate into solids (curds) and liquid (whey). The active enzyme in rennet is called chymosin or rennin (EC 3.4.23.4) but there are also other important enzymes in it, e.g., pepsin and lipase. There are non-animal sources for rennet that are suitable for vegetarian consumption.

What Are Lentils?
I would be cutting and pasting all night ... This is what Wikipedia says about the subject . Please look up Lentils for more info.

plant likely originated in the Near East and lentils have been part of the human diet since the aceramic (non-pottery producing) Neolithic times.

Lentils contain high levels of proteins, including the essential amino acids isoleucine and lysine, and are an essential source of inexpensive protein in many parts of the world for those who adhere to a vegetarian diet.Lentils are deficient in two essential amino acids, methionine and cysteine. However, sprouted lentils contain sufficient levels of all essential amino acids, including methionine and cysteine.not bad in moderation.

I first discovered Baked Lentil Chips in 09 in Omaha Nebraska stoping at a WFM on my way returning to Denver from Iowa ... As soon as I got to Denver I found them in almost every WFM. The high Dollar price point isn't a good enough reason to not give them a try.Amazing Flavor inventive idea as well as quality its worth the $5 a bag. I pair it up with a plain Hummus and it's more then a snack .... It's a Meal on the Go. Real Food Fast! Returning to the idea of my blog . Fast Food Or Food on the go coming from sources with integrity . This product is Amazing.
Sad to say that now I'm living in Hollywood and the WFM in my area aren't consistent with caring them as well as my Store in Venice Beach...my new goal is to get them on the shelf in my Store and start a trend. After looking at Mediterranean Snack Foods Web Page I discovered that this great company is doing a lot more then Lentil Chips. I'm now on a mission to try them all. For now look for these at WFM on Fairfax and 3rd 3.99 price point less then CO and now Way Way worth it. Soon my store Whole Foods Market Venice Beach Store will have them ...Let's get them in every WFM location. My Favorite is Cucumber and Dill and I'm known to eat a whole bag Crumbs and All.
